+ Weekend Mass 20th-21st June – Twelfth Sunday of ‘Ordinary Time’

(cover image credit: Unsplash collection) REFUGEE WEEK reminds us that those fleeing their homes are real people

After a series of weekend Masses with special feast day focuses all in a row – Ascension, Pentecost, Trinity and Corpus Christi – this weekend is simply back into the ordinary cycle. I always feel a bit positively challenged when it’s called ‘Ordinary’ time. It’s like a reminder to link the gifts and hopes of our faith with all that’s ordinary – and in a sense therefore to find what’s extraordinary in the normal stuff of life’s activities and relationships. Being Refugee Week, one of  the ‘extraoordinary’ things might be to ponder our capacity to bring hope to some who flee fear and oppression – people just as real as me/you .. completely equal in the eyes of God. Enjoy Mass and wishing you a glimpse of the extraordinary this week.

See the Bulletin section of this website for all current info about prayer and church opening times plus Masses and Communion Services.

6pm Vigil Mass – 20th June

This is the Weekend 6pm Vigil Mass – on 20th June

Posted by Our Lady of the Way Parish on Saturday, 20 June 2020

TROUBLESHOOTING:

>> Once the Mass is loaded and visible here Saturday night, it can take some time for Facebook and the Parish Blog engine to speak properly to each other – so realise that it’s not you and give it a little time

>> Playing the Facebook Live Stream from here in the Parish Blog can be a bit glitchy to get started – If so, persevere and try it slowly a few times – it should  be fine

>> Let us know if there are any ongoing issues by emailing [email protected]

SEE THIS PARISH BULLETIN IN THIS WEBSITE FOR ALL PRAYER AND CHURCH OPENING TIMES PLUS MASSES AND COMMUNION SERVICES

WEEKEND ATTENDANCE NEEDS TO BE PRE-BOOKED AS PART OF THE PARISH’S CURRENT COVID-CARE PLAN. SEE BULLETIN FOR DETAILS AND PROCEDURES

Wishing you and your loved ones a happy weekend and week ahead

With friendship in God’s mission
