+ Social Justice Sunday Statement – Mental Health in Australia

Dear friends,

The link down below will take you to the Australian Bishops’ annual Social Justice Statement. This year, very appropriately, the topic about which a great deal of helpful reflection is given, is: Mental Health in Australia. I highly commend this document to you, even if you just scan through it for interest and let yourself focus naturally wherever throughout it your interest seems to be drawn most. There is so much healing and strength we can assist each other and many others to welcome, if we can normalise our ability to be able to share about these very human issues. Let’s give thanks for this great initiative of the bishops – and in an extra way because our own Bishop Vincent of Parramatta Diocese is the leader of the very committed group that oversees responsibility for our official Catholic Social Justice focus in Australia.

Here’s an introduction video to the statement. You’ll probably notice the speaker is our Bishop Vincent of Parramatta Diocese, who on behalf of the Australian Bishops leads the group that looks after expressions of social justice. NOTE this video is not the Statement itself. The LINK to the Statement is further below.
