+ Fri 15th – Blog site crash now repaired – and Weekend Mass details ahead
Dear friends –
Apologies that nothing was posted today in the Parish Blog space. So just this message now, late Friday: We’ve had some serious website problems on the server end which translated yesterday and earlier today into people seeing thick black bands across their screens and a blocking of our Parish Blog posts. The story in brief is that whilst we manage the creating of our own blog pieces and website updates, our parish website is connected to what you might call a common engine – that controls a whole lot of sites in the diocese. Something has been glitching on that end, on and off for a month, that’s out of our immediate control. The tech support people at Parramatta have been great and hopefully after the worst glitch yesterday and today, it’s fixed. If it continues, we can keep the same address and build a new website over which we can have more independent management. Anyway, for now, here’s hoping.
WEEKEND MASS AHEAD – 6PM STREAMING AS A ‘NORM’
The current decision for weekends at Our Lady of the Way, whilst churches remain closed to more than ten people at a time, is to have
+one full weekend Mass live streamed with a few people present as a mini congregation
+which will continue to stream every Saturday evening from 6pm via Facebook
The live stream is via Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/olowparishemuplains/ (or just google something like Facebook Emu Plains parish).
Please help to share this with parishioners and any others who you can make welcome with us. The Mass will then continue to be able to be viewed on that Facebook page.
THE LIVE STREAM MASS CONTINUES TO BE AVAILABLE
The live stream of the Mass can continue to be accessed any time afterwards on the Parish Facebook page
AND IS AVAILABLE A BIT LATER IN THIS PARISH BLOG SPACE
As soon as possible after the end of the live stream Mass on Saturday night – the Mass will also be able to be viewed in the updated weekend blog post here in the parish blog space for that weekend
With friendship in God’s mission,
