+ Weekend Mass 4th-5th July – Fourteenth Sunday of ‘Ordinary Time’

Greetings everyone and welcome to Mass for the 14th Sunday of Ordinary Time. This weekend is also National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sunday. How important for our national identity and wisdom that we keep recovering and treasuring the story of this land and its first people – and deepen the individual and collective empathy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s experience and story, including the long felt pain of exclusion from existence and identity that has continued to impact their development and dignity today.

On the cover image of this blog post is the logo for the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic Community (NATSICC). The logo depicts a willy willy, the wind force in the centre a symbol of God’s Spirit. The round concentric circles at the top symbolise God and Life, the base depicts men and women receiving the Holy Spirit. The logo was designed by Mrs. Olive Boddington, from Western Australia.

The NATSICC Vision Statement: – The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic Council promotes and celebrates the cultural identity of our Peoples across the nation by living and expressing, in all its endeavours, the spirituality of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholic Peoples.

See the Bulletin section of this website for all current info about prayer and church opening times plus Masses and Communion Services.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

>> Once the Mass is loaded and visible here Saturday night, it can take some time for Facebook and the Parish Blog engine to speak properly to each other – so realise that it’s not you and give it a little time

>> Playing the Facebook Live Stream from here in the Parish Blog can be a bit glitchy to get started – If so, persevere and try it slowly a few times – it should  be fine

>> Let us know if there are any ongoing issues by emailing [email protected]

SEE THIS PARISH BULLETIN IN THIS WEBSITE FOR ALL PRAYER AND CHURCH OPENING TIMES PLUS MASSES AND COMMUNION SERVICES

WEEKEND ATTENDANCE NEEDS TO BE PRE-BOOKED AS PART OF THE PARISH’S CURRENT COVID-CARE PLAN. SEE BULLETIN FOR DETAILS AND PROCEDURES

Wishing you and your loved ones a happy weekend and week ahead

With friendship in God’s mission
